Family calendar ideas

After finding that one calendar has helped organise us, I have ordered a family calendar. There is enough space for 6 people to have a column each so working out to use these for three of us - me, DH and DS (baby)

Ideas:

2 columns each
1 for birthdays / important dates plus 1 each
1 for important dates, 2 for DS,
2 for me and 1 for DH = 6
1 for dates, 1 each and 1 for car (we share a car)
Maybe 1 column for to-dos or meals but there is a separate to do thread

This is probably a very dull / geeky thread unless you're into this sort of thing or have a calendar you can share!

Now thinking

Important dates (including birthdays)
DS
Me
DH
Meal
Notes

(Obviously don't want to write on it until decided!)

I get the Hedgehugs one every year as it has a month per page and 5 columns
There is a column each for the 4 of us and then the last column has bin days (we have 4 bins; 3 on a 3 weekly cycle and 1 on 2 weekly cycle so it can be confusing)

I put birthdays, appointments for each of us, ds's rugby days, work holidays, school holidays, cat flea/worm treatment days, vet trips etc

Bin days is a good idea!

You
DH
DS
birthdays
Household (bin days, MOTs, car tax, insurance renewals etc.)
Meals (if you actually meal plan, I never seem to be able to!) Or, more useful to me, would be School Stuff (non uniform days, holidays, bring a small penguin made entirely of Korean pebbles days)
