Does anyone have a David Lloyd family membership and can tell me a bit about what it includes and whether you think it's worth it or not, please?

Someone we know has mentioned that kids swimming lessons are included, which would definitely make it worth it for us, but I can't find much info online.

Thanks in advance!

We have a family membership, it was about £1890 for the year. 2 adults, 5yo and baby. We pay an extra £28 per month for swimming lessons.
Lots of children's classes to go to, adults spa, adult fitness classes, of course the pools and gym, tennis etc.
Each club might have different deals.

Thanks @shouldistop. Is the extra £28 for swimming lessons per child and are they group lessons or one to one?

Yes his swimming lessons, they're group lessons.

What club are you looking at, I can show you a screen shot of what classes are available as an example

From word of mouth from friends (I am not s member) swimming lessons are no longer included which has annoyed a lot of them.

We have family membership. It’s 207 per month.

No lessons included, but good choices of free rackets classes etc in the evening if you wanted to put the kids in while you did something else.

Kids club on weekends matches up with spin classes etc so you can sign the kids up and fit a class in.

It’s very expensive…. But it’s so handy. The kids menu is small on choice but a big bit with my DC and it’s a stress free environment on days when I’m too wrecked after work - hey let’s all go to David Lloyd!!!

I’m a member with my DS(6) but we pay separate monthly fees. I’ve never heard of a family membership deal so I will ask about that!

Each month I pay £56 for me, £15 for DS, and £35 for weekly swimming lessons.

We get free towels, DS can go into their Kids Clubs on Sat/Sun mornings while I use the gym, and a free monthly guest pass.

Swimming lessons not included but the lessons are good quality and much better ratios than the ones at the council run pool. Also the pool is quite deep so they can't piss around putting their feet on the floor (reluctant swimmers!).

Hmmm, we pay £320 a month (or thereabouts) for a family membership with swimming lessons for two DC 4&6. This isn't platinum so the swimming lessons are £67 of this. Kids £70 and £190 for me and DH.

It is only worth it (to me) if you use the free kids clubs. They have upped their game on this recently (which they had to, charging £35 a month for each child!).

I have membership just for me. I'm a teacher so I get a discount. £86 per month, no racquets, not a fancy spa club.

I go 5 days a week every week and particularly love the outdoor pool, the brilliant classes, the adults only sessions in the pool, the friendly staff. I sometimes go before work and have a lovely chicken and bacon omelette in the cafe for about £8. Really sets me up for the day. Body pump and Zumba are my favourite classes.

I did consider adding my 2 children which costs £31 per month each. They don't like kids club though so we've decided just to get guest passes for them at £12.50 each when they want to swim. No lessons needed as they are already competent.
