First foreign holiday next year. Where should we go?

All being well with Covid we are thinking of having our first ever foreign holiday with the three DC's next year. They've had such a rotten couple of years and though I'm terrified of travel and flying I think it would give them something to really look forward to.
Where would you go with three children, youngest being 6 and eldest being 14 if you don't want to spend a fortune or fly too far? We're thinking a package deal sort of thing and something very child focused (but not Disney). We also don't drive so would need somewhere that is close to fun touristy things.. Thanks!

Back in 2019 we stayed at the Zafiro Can Picafort in Mallorca. 2 Ns a bit hours flight. All inc, amazing pool, entertainment at night and kids clubs available. Free crazy golf. You can rent bikes and cycle or walk walk the town and beach. Some of the rooms have swim.up pools, or their own private hot tubs. 7 and 12 year old had a blast all week and always ask to return!

The efteling in the Netherlands its about the same drive distance as Disney (three hours) or stop at beautiful bruges on the way.

It's enchanting, relaxing, beautiful accmd (look at Bosrijk) then combine it with berkese bergen stay on site safari Park, or one of the landal parks.
Visit Amsterdam, beautiful gorgeous city, the Hague etc... Very easy...

Just saw you don't drive!

In that case euro star to Amsterdam and bus /train to efteling. Berkese is close to efteling

I really recommend Sunvil

www.sunvil.co.uk/

we went to Greece 3 years ago with them and it was perfect. We told them what we were after and they came up trumps. Hoping to go to Cyprus next year fingers crossed.

Duinrell in the Netherlands. Holiday park with a small theme park, large indoor water park and near a beach. You can fly to Amsterdam then get a taxi, train or bus. Weather is the same as the UK but there is loads to do.

Interesting to see this come up as I saw this last year and thought it would be a really easy trip. Not too hot either!

Menorca, its such a beautiful child friendly island. If I ask my kids where do you want to go it's always Menorca.
Mahon the capital is stunning and the local buses are so clean and cheap you really can explore the island without driving.

Some of the above are wildly expensive but it provides a good starting point
about where to look if you fancy going to the Med. Croatia seems popular.

I hope you and your family have a lovely time op!

Menorca is my favourite holiday destination
Really friendly and buses are easy to get to anywhere on the island

If you can afford Mark Warner resorts, try one of the all-inclusive Greek island ones. Transfers and onsite activities are included, no need to leave the (amazing) resort.

Definitely try and get a hotel with waterslides, that kept our kids entertained for quite a while whilst in holiday!

We've been to Los Patos Park in Benelmadena which the kids loved and booked for next year 🤞🏻 Close to the beach, and lots going on outside the hotel.
