Hi Im new on here.(im 66).
I was on gransnet but find it too old for me. Its a bit snobby and clicky too be honest
I havent any children, my beloved daughter died 16 years ago aged 24, to cancer, so no grandchildren. My DH (2nd marriage) is 8 years younger than me and is my best friend. Im quite young thinking so Im wondering if mumsnet is a better fit for me.
Ive read some of the threads and find them much more light hearted and free talking on here. Do you think Im too old for mumsnet is what im really asking.

Hi and welcome! I'm early 50s and no children for other reasons, I'm sorry for your sad loss. I think this is a nice forum but you do have to navigate around things from time to time as it is the Internet, but age isn't a factor!

Hi dudsville thanks for your reply. Im glad age isnt a factor. Thought I was going to be laughed off the site.Grin

Smile The only major age related thing that comes up regularly that I can think of is the "am I too old to wear x" threads! The answer is almost universally no.

Welcome to the MN gang , it is a great place to get other points of view on hundreds of topics though you have to have a thick skin sometimes , esp on AIBU ,

Such a nice friendly thread to read at 4 am when I can't sleep 😭 hello and welcome OP!

Welcome. I am the same age as you. I like Mumsnet but I do avoid high conflict areas like AIBU. Otherwise I find the site interesting and thought-provoking. I don't initiate threads very often but I do comment when the spirit moves me.

Gransnet didn't inspire me either. A bit too narrowly focused tobe honest.
