I have health anxiety anyway and I'm really freaking out from all the tales of horror. If you had covid and didn't have a terrible experience, please can you share it with me?

I've only had one jab too (second one was on Monday!)

Tested positive in January as need to have regular tests and again in July no symptoms ever only knew I was positive as job demands regular tests. But I’m glad I had them to keep my clients safe.

I’m 54 and a bit on the hefty side. I was poorly for a day when I felt too unwell to even watch tv, but aside from that I was just under the weather.
Order a oxymeter and keep an eye on your oxygen levels and walk about frequently if you can, to prevent blood clots.

It helped my health anxiety enormously after I’d had it as I could “relax” knowing if I caught it again, it would likely be ok.

I basically spent 10 days just chilling, cracking on with housework, watching a LOT of TV. At its worst, it was just like a cold and even that didn't last long. The loss of taste was annoying though.

I tested positive for covid on Monday. Honestly, I feel like I have the worst cold, coupled with the worst hangover happening in the first trimester. The tiredness is that unreal. I'm exhausted and I've completely lost my sense of taste and smell. But otherwise I'm ok. I'm extremely overweight, a BMI which meant I had an early vaccination, and which is also something I should have spent the last 18 months working on, but my breathing has been fine. Looking forward to the end of it. I've survived on plenty of water and lots of lemsips, and naps. I hope you have a mild dose.

QuestionableMouse · 05/09/2021 00:13

I feel exactly like I have a cold and nothing more. No loss of taste or smell, no cough and no fever.

Thank you. I'm overweight too which isn't helping my anxiety.

Dh tested positive a couple of days ago. He has no symptoms at all. We all got tested because we were a close contact but me and kids are negative.

Thank you! I'm mostly just really tired and now freaking out. I fucking hate this so much 😞😞

I was ill with headaches and tiredness for 3 days. Then I started to feel better.
I made a whole load of hot ginger, turmeric, pepper, lemon juice and honey drink and took vitamin d. I don’t know if it helped but can’t hurt.
We got an oximeter and checked our temperature often too.

Not me, but my db and his gf 3/8 kids have it. My step niece has cystic fibrosis, THAT is property anxiety inducing. Can you put your anxiety into that context? You're perfectly healthy and ok atm, of course it's worrying but if our Emily got it what's her chances!
QuestionableMouse · 05/09/2021 00:39

Have a pulse ox ordered and it'll arrive tomorrow. I don't have any of the classic symptoms which is a bit odd.
