Feeling shit after vaccine?

Hi everyone. Not after a debate as obviously I had the vaccine so to late now anyway 😂

Iv had both vaccines now both moderna. With the first one absolutely fine,no after effects barely even a sore arm. Just had my second one on Thursday and I'm absolutely floored. I feel like I have the flu. Aching all over, so tired. Banging head.
Did anyone else find they were ill after the second jag but nothing from the first? Or other way about

My friend's husband had moderna and he was a wreck for 2 days after the second and then fine. Nothing from the first. He had flu like symptoms/headache/temp. Hopefully it'll stop tomorrow.

My DS (22) had his 2nd Moderna on Tuesday. Fine after the first one, this time he woke up Wednesday and said everything hurts. His head, neck and both arms mainly. Headache didn't shift with just Paracetamol so alternated with ibuprofen, think he felt ibuprofen worked slightly better for his aches. Headache went the next day, other aches all gone this morning and back to normal

Maybe you've got covid and it's a coincidence?

I had astra zeneca and was poorly after both jabs.

I woke up at 2am vomiting and shivering

Felt unwell for 5 days, it’s horrible I know

That's quite normal after Moderna. Nothing after the first but feel awful after the second. Try not to worry, you'll feel better soon

My DH was fine after his first shot of moderna but he had a headache after his second one, think it lasted a couple of days.

I didn't have moderna but I was soooo exhausted after my first vaccine. Went to bed Friday and woke up Sunday. I barely remember Saturday. I think I got up and made lunch and ordered dinner for DH and the kids but it's so foggy. I remember thinking "this is how people die of COVID. They just go to sleep".

I had Moderna and felt just like that on the second dose - it only lasted about a day or so though.

It’s quite normal to feel ill after your second jab. My work even advised us to not schedule anything important for the couple of days after do that we could easily call in sick. Some people feel fine, some drag a bit, some like me are hit so hard we can barely sit up, but it doesn’t last long.

Quite normal as you tend to invoke a stronger immune response after the second one. I had Pfizer...no problems after the first dose but body aches after the second. Only lasted about 16 hours though.

I felt horrendous after my second moderna. Couldn’t take much to help as I’m breastfeeding. I’ve never experienced headaches like it.

I think this is very common. Sometimes if you are ok with the first you are sick with the second.

I had AZ and I was so sick with the first jab. I had all the symptoms of covid except I could breathe ok. Your body is exhausted so you need to rest. It will lift.
