How do you know you’re peri menopausal, and what happens….?

I’ve not had a period for, I think, at least two months. Maybe a bit more.
Previously they were like clockwork.

Also, while I blamed lockdown wine and treat dinners, I’m also wondering g how much that might be also contributing to weight gain.

Please tell me your experiences

IMO all the really shit symptoms start a long time before missed periods
I had the total opposite. Started getting missed periods, or three months without one then two in one month then back to normal for 6 months etc. I had years of that before the horrific heat came. HRT helped with the worst symptoms all though I still sleep really badly. I think thats age related though as DH is the same and we've both got the middle aged spread around the middle.
