Do you freely admit to being a mnetter?

Just wondered if people generally keep it private that they use Mumsnet or not? Never heard any of my friends saying they use it and wondered if it's widely takes about it not really! Just curious to know what people do...

Oh yes, I'm always mentioning things I read on Mumsnet.

But I'm not in the UK, and I don't think anyone I talk to would have heard of mumsnet, if it weren't for me.

Just thinking, I've no idea what "reputation" Mumsnet has. I don't know if posting here is something to hide/be proud of.

No I don’t. The sad reason is that it is so derided as just silly gossipy mummies.

I have also experienced this, but I must say, I feel totally unperturbed by that derision.

MN has its faults, but I think its main asset is that it's dominated by adult women. God, have you seen Twiiter? Or Reddit?

@mokojolo yes I totally agree. I have tried to get into Reddit several times and each time have been knocked back by the overwhelmingly male bias to everything. I answered some relationship questions in the way I would on mumsnet and got massively downvoted and told I was just a needy bloke who was sucking up to women

No but only as I don't want people I know in RL coming here and identifying me!!
