Exactly as it says....
I am a mother of 2 children and a man child
I work 40hrs p/wk alongside studying too.
My hobbies? Not much, watching the soaps and working out in VR!
Although my DP would say my hobbies are laundry, washing up & talking too much! 😂😂😂

Stop being a martyr. Delegate..
And get out of the house regularly.. Leave them to it.
Your home really won't fall apart without you managing it!!

imnottoofussed · 04/09/2021 20:22

Work full time 37.5 hours per week. Don't earn enough but no ambition or confidence to do anything with more responsibility or skills.

Single.

Loving with parents as can't afford to do anything else.

1 adult dd who enjoys spending time with me

In my spare time I like to read a lot, run on the treadmill, go for walks and look at local wildlife, go to the cinema and I love holidays but can't usually afford much. Going on a couple of holidays next year mostly because this years and last years got cancelled and also because I've had a lot longer to pay for them Grin

Work 30 hours a week to fit in with my youngest at school, means I’m home by about 3:30. Every other day I get up at 5:30 to go for a run. Dh is out of the house by 7 and home by about 5, he does most if not all of the cooking of dinners which frees me up in the evenings. Often nip home during my lunch break to do stuff like unload the dishwasher and put washing in the machine and dryer etc.
In the evenings during the week I go to the gym, take the dc to activities and collect them, see friends for dinner or walks, go and see my mum, read a book, play games with the dc, I dunno, just normal stuff.
We have a cleaner which helps ease the pressure at the weekends so we can usually relax a bit more and not have to worry about that.
I’m in a book club with a group of 10 and am in a dinner club with some of the people from work where we all take it in turns to choose a restaurant - both things are really informal and just a way of catching up with lots of people at once Grin I love the theatre but only really make it to 3/4 shows a year. At home I am doing an online course relating to my job but not an essential part of it, it’s something I find interesting and want to focus on it a bit more to aid me with some kind of career change in a year.
I’d be gutted if dh thought my hobbies were domestic chores!

TheChosenTwo · 04/09/2021 20:26

Oh, and I borrow friends dogs so I have someone to walk with if dh or the dc all bail on me Grin
Prior to Covid going away was one of my favourite past times, European weekend city breaks and longer further away holidays. I really miss that to be honest.

Single mum of 3 (9, 5 and 3). I work full time as a nurse. I've joined the gym so I can go now all the kids are at school/preschool. As I work shifts I get quite a few weekdays off so I meet friends sometimes. Go out with my Mum a lot too. Tbh, I don't have a lot going on now between work, kids and housework. Finding myself a bit lonely tbh. Not ready to date yet.

Whattodo121 · 04/09/2021 22:59

I work full time as a pastoral lead in a big secondary school. Loads of safeguarding and academic responsibilities and very hectic in term time! Lovely colleagues and kids though and completely love it. One DS aged 9, a puppy and three chickens. Been with DH 20 years, married for 12. Pre-Covid my hobbies were all theatre and music based, lots of musical directing in local adult and youth theatre companies. Haven’t done any for 18 months due to COVID and my mum passing away. Have just been asked this week to take on a couple of projects and I’m prevaricating tbh. We had a very very stressful house move this year as well and I just don’t think I have the headspace for more things to be responsible for at the moment. I don’t have any hobbies that I’m not in charge of, so maybe that’s something I need to change….
