Well, not quite yet but nearly.
Holiday booked and paid for and then realize that passport has run out so sent it to be replaced (13th of August) and hoping it arrives back into Ireland by the 25th of this month. It's looking less likely. We are busy with passports here but it is new passports that are the delay- renewals are moving fast enough.
Can anyone offer experience? How likely is it to arrive in time for the holiday? How long are the passport office taking for a renewal?
