Morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cup of tea, in silence. I've been watching the wood pigeons in the garden, the squirrel who comes every now and again, and the odd leaf falling from the massive trees at the end of the garden. Very peaceful!

Everyone else is still sleeping - dd2 had her first day at secondary yesterday & was worn out. Dd1 often doesn't surface until lunch time at the weekend.

There's the usual washing to do, floors to sweep stuff to be done. & upstairs needs the hoover shoved round.

We're going to wander to Asda later on for some things for Tuesday's Guide meeting & I'll have an hour later checking I have everything in order for our first meeting in 18 months!

Hopefully I'll get chance to crochet some more of the socks I'm making, too. I expect the girls will play Minecraft later so probably then and an hour or two this evening.

Curry for tea, with various sides. Probably a glass or two of wine for me.

How about all of you? Anyone up to much? :)

Nice quiet day for the toddler and I, we're watching Disney's Robin Hood for the millionth time and later we're going in the allotment. Just had eggs on toast for breakfast

But I'm going 'out out' today for the first time since before Covid hit our shores

I was up early to do yoga (usually do it in the evening), had a lovely breakfast with kids (eggs and toast, orange juice), DH has just got back from collecting the Tesco shop. We need to change to beds soon. ILs are visiting this afternoon. I need to go to Lidl later as I've a sudden craving for Greek yogurt. Not sure what were having for dinner yet. Kids will be out in the garden most of the day. I'm planning on a hot bubble bath tonight and hopefully finish my book.

All up and chaos resumes.

DP at work [long day so its just me] so I'll have to take all three kids to DC2 swimming lesson in an hour (we'll wait in the foyer) then home for food shopping and chores. All the uniform is washed, needs to be ironed.

Will take the kids for a scoot / ride before dinner.

Sister will be round later for pizza and wine.

Tomorrow is the last day before kids go back to school so I want all the jobs done today, so tomorrow we can just chill.

Been awake since 5. Read the papers online and watched a video on the Sutton Hoo treasures at the British Museum. Just had coffee and croissants and done my Duolingo. Thinking about answering emails while I wait for my online GP appointment. Then zoom exercise class, some work and job applications. Possibly a trip to the farmers’ market and a walk listening to an audiobook about life on a submarine (inspired by Vigil). Phone call to my parents in the evening.

Felling a bit down about how my rubbish my life is at the moment (been largely shielding alone for most of the pandemic). I expect it’s just the weather though.

I'm getting some new wiper blades fitted. I have a rock and roll lifestyle 🙂

Lounging this morning. Work this afternoon (in a library). Village fete after work, goes until 9pm.

DH brought me breakfast in bed before he went to work. Three children still asleep, first week back in school so they are tired. I'm going to get up soon and go for a walk. I live very close to the city centre and love a ramble in before it gets too busy. I will pick up pastries and fresh fruit for the kids for their breakfast. Then quick clean of the house and food shopping. DH be home from work at 2pm so we are heading out for dinner and drinks at 3pm. Right best get up.

Woken up slightly more hungover than I was expecting so a slow start, breakfast soon. Probably then my Jillian Michaels or some hard-core yoga. Then fixing my outfit for the day festival I'm going to later, full-on gold sequinned dress to take up . Lots of dancing after that

Ds stayed with my mum last night, to spend time with her, my stepdad and my sister, (and because I'm in work for a few hours this morning), then he's going to stay with his other gran after, so he can have some supervised contact with his dad today/tomorrow (if he bothers to show up, if not ds will have a great time anyway being spoilt and spending some quality time, with his gran and grandad).

I'm currently getting ready in peace for the first time all week, I'm not having to follow ds around making sure he's actually doing x, y and z, and not playing on his phone or day dreaming. I haven't had to argue or shout once. I'll either be coming home from work to do some tidying, then I'll watch some Downtown Abbey and sort out some piles of clothes, ransom paperwork that's built up etc, or go to my sisters to help move some furniture (she's had a lot of renovation work done in her house, but it's finished now). Not sure yet if she does need my help today or not though, she may decide to leave it until Monday.

It's bliss getting ready in peace in the morning, but I'll be missing ds terribly by about dinner time, and will probably end up playing ps4 with him (there's one in his grans for the grandkids to share, and his is here, so we can play online together).

Nothing exciting, but that suits me perfectly, I always feel burnt out come the weekend.

DS is watching a film while I contemplate another cup of coffee. I'm very tired! I'm also contemplating the housework that needs doing.

The weather forecast is great so we're heading to the beach this afternoon.

Housework and IKEA flat pack building - we've ordered a bookcase and a beside cabinet for DS. But the DC are off to their grandma's for a sleepover later, so at least DH and I will get to relax with a takeaway and some wine later.

DH has just taken DS1 for his hair cutting so he’s smart when he starts secondary school on Wednesday. I’ve done my boring chores and I’m just sitting with my second cup of coffee. We’re going to a local national trust place soon for a long walk.

@Egghead68 your day makes me feel lazy! Do you have to do the work and emails today or could you have a day off? Farmers Market sounds perfect for today, I wish there was one here.

Like @ThankYouDebbie I’ve also woken up slightly hungover so it’s going to be a slow morning here and possibly a nap later!

I’m in the process of culling my clothes so that’s the main job for today. Hello Fresh meal tonight with DP and Downton Abbey.

Lounging in bed right now. Will have to drag myself up soon to take ds to his football match. This afternoon we are heading out to a new soft play centre (it's meant to be a good one!) then having a late lunch while we are there. Head home, usually have a takeaway on a weekend but since we'll be eating out we may get dessert ordered in instead. Films, snuggles, bed.

Sipping coffee with and addition of oat milk to try it and it’s quite nice. Off to town for last bits of DD2 uniform, she started secondary too yesterday but still needs a PE top.
Going to drop DD2 in town as she wants to spend some of her recent earnings as she’s just started her fist little job in a local pub kitchen.
Need to do a food shop and lots of garden and house jobs to do but not a lot motivation to be found.

Good morning, cool, overcast but dry here.
DH has harvested his habaneros and will make sauces today.
DD is still asleep, DS is gaming and listening to a book as usual.
And I need to think about autumn plants for my terasse, do my languages and the usual household stuff - starting with the ironing.

Nothing much to do today so a lazy day for us.

All ready for school next week, grocery shop was done yesterday. Housework all done. Dh at work.

We are just staying home today. Children want to watch some movies and play down in the summerhouse. May do some baking.

Dinner is already prepared and in the slow cooker.

Off to see family. Then carry on packing and jobs around the house ready for a last minute house move.

Heading out this afternoon for a spot of afternoon drinking. It’s a leaving do, we are meeting at 2 but some people aren’t arriving until 5ish, they’ve asked if we will still be there, I was planning on a few drinks then home for dinner but seems like it’s now going to be a long one - I’ve got to try and pace myself…….or it could get messy. I’ve asked my ds to pick me up later - he said as long as I’m not sick in his car….it’s like role reversal

I slept in this morning which is unusual for me. Will get up in a bit and go to the shops as need some work shoes as back in the office for the first time on Monday. Ds is still in bed, probably worn out as back at school. DD has her boyfriend staying, they were out til after 1 last night so probably won't see them til later. Unusually DH is the first one up.

Just woke up, DCs are gaming. DH is decorating the spare room.

I will shower soon and go in to the village to pick up a parcel and get some nice things for lunch.

Meeting in laws at an adventure playground this afternoon. Then a quiet evening.

Longing around a bit this morning but about to get up. Taking the DD's into London's for the afternoon-we will either go and see if we can last minute matinee tickets for the theatre or have a wander around Chelsea-then back home where we all meet DP for dinner and sleep at his.
We were meant to be a a gig this evening rescheduled from last year but I've managed to lose the tickets so I'm in the bad books with the DD's which will probably cost me dearly in Zara this afternoon

I took ds to an 8am swimming class, back, toast & coffee, now considering which bit of the garden to hit first.
