Friend found in a shop and is wondering. I thought it read Chirorèe but a google search doesn't come up with anything.

Does anyone know what this word means?

Chicory.

Yes, chicory in French. It will be the root of the plant that is ground up and added to coffee, not the salad leaves.

What you saw as r is a c so it reads 'Chicorée'
