Dd has been invited with a friend. She has said yes but is now nervous about going she is 15.

She has been Googling to try and find out the plot and if it’s is really scary. She can’t find anything but a synopsis.

Can someone give me the low down as she is in two minds going if it’s too scary I’ve told her to pass the tickets onto another friend. I don’t want her walking out half way through and ruining her friends birthday,

So please give spoilers.

So any other readers beware spoiler alert. Thanks

I haven’t seen it yet but a friend went last night and said it was quite scary. He’s a man in his 30s so if your daughter is nervous already it might not be for her

youvegottenminuteslynn · 03/09/2021 22:56

I can't go but really want know what the twist ending is that everyone is talking about - someone spill!

Iimaginethiswillbefun · 03/09/2021 23:01

I went in the week. I enjoyed it but didn't find it scary . When they change the scene screaming is heard and a red light all around the stage during the blackout adds to the atmosphere but not scary.

SuperDuperJezebel · 04/09/2021 06:57

I've seen it, it's more creepy than scary, and I jumped a couple of times but it wasn't hide behind my hands scary, and in lots of places it was funny. I don't think she has much to worry about, I'd go if I was her.

WheelieBinPrincess · 04/09/2021 07:37

I thought it was really good, some bits are like a very scary nightclub with loud flashes and screening.

If you really want the twist? The husband is already a ghost. He’s dead but you don’t find out till the end. He gets increasingly desperate as the night goes in and 2:22 approaches to prove there is no such thing as ghosts and his wife has got it wrong, but all the ghostly stuff that happens to her is him. There’s lots of subtle clues along the way and one character hints at being something amiss throughout.

Wee little donkey

kromosome7 · 22/01/2022 23:13

Spoilers ahead
Husband is already dead. He crashes while driving to work thus loses phone. It’s him who has been walking around baby and crying.
There’s another ghost, Frank, in the house as well.
Things you may miss- Husband can’t close the windows in baby’s room.
He cant pay for the drinks thus stays outside the off license.
His hands are very cold when he touches his wife.
He doesnt/cant drink or eat.
He never uses the loo.
He doesnt believe in ghosts as he doesnt want to believe he’s dead.

— please add if more easter eggs —

WhoWants2Know · 22/01/2022 23:19

The Sixth Sense.
Binglebong · 14/02/2022 19:46

I thought Frank was the one the female guest made up, the attention seeker?

Lovelyjubblyjelly · 20/05/2022 07:30

My 12 year old daughter went with her friend for her birthday to see this and they weren’t scared. There are jump scares after every scene though but you do get used to them

Chillibob · 24/03/2023 23:04

Also another thing to notice is the light in the garden goes on everything one of the Cast goes into the garden apart from the husband. At first I thought it was odd and the back stage staff forgot to turn it out but it now makes sense due to him being a ghost.

1990s · 24/03/2023 23:10

I wouldn’t even say it’s jump scary to be honest, there is sometimes a red light and loud music but it’s not really “scary”.

I had no bloody clue the husband was dead, but I never get these things. Loving hearing all the Easter eggs / clues that show that as I noticed none of them!
