Please recommend a budget-ish Hotel in London

Hello, please could anyone recommend a comfy, nice hotel in Central London that isn't too expensive? I'd like to be near one of the parks if possible. Prefer classic style places but will give way on that for a decent restaurant. Any suggestions please? Thanks

I’ve stayed at the St Pancras Premier Inn, it’s a touch pricy for a premier inn but v.good.

Kings Cross Premier Inn is nice
Resident hotels are more £££ but better locations

For a couple/single, or for a family?

If the former, I always stay in a Z hotel. No good for families as they only do double/single rooms.

If you just need a bed, they have tiny interior rooms (no window), or if you want more space, you get the option of those. The finish is really good - comfy beds, nice linen, great showers. They're in good locations too. I like the Gloucester Place one, but I train in/out of Marylebone so it's handy. I've stayed at a few others too. Price is usually the same as a Premier Inn, but it's a way better place to stay.

I haven't stayed at either of these hotels, but lived nearby for many years. They are within a 2min walk of Bethnal Green tube on the Central line, which is 1 stop from Liverpool st. Victoria park is nearby, and is a massive London park, but lesser known to tourists.

A short walk or bus ride to Columbia flower markets, Bricklane markets, V&A museum of childhood, The last Thursday club, Spitalfields markets and Petticoat lane. There is a Sunday farmers market in Victoria park on Sundays too.

Paradise Row, behind the East london hotel, has many restaurants and bars, along with Bethnal Green rd and all around Shoreditch.

The travelodge Bethnal green has a reasonably priced comedy club on the ground floor too. The East London Hotel is a newer hotel in the area.

Super room at docklands travellodge. 15 mins on DLR into central London, 5 mins to Canary Wharf.. New, clean, comfortable, quiet, very cheap.
