Longleat safari - 2yo

Hi all, looking for some tips for our trip to Longleat tomorrow. We couldn't seem to buy tickets without getting the safari added on as well, but we're not sure if it's worth doing with a 2yo! We're booked to do it from 2pm, and will have a 90 min drive back home afterwards. I can imagine my DD will be interested in looking for animals for about 5 minutes and then fall asleep. I'm up for doing the safari as I love that sort of thing, but is it worth it to potentially be in the car for nearly 4 hours? We have a 3mo as well, but as long as she's fed she'll be fine! Simply put: will my 2yo enjoy the safari or is it for older kids?

DS was more interested in the cars the first time we went! DH and I enjoyed it though (avoid the monkey enclosure though)

Our son enjoyed it at 2 but did fall asleep for some of it. You can cut some bits out to make it shorter/protect your car (eg monkeys and deer). Also you can park and get out at the first bit (giraffes/zebras) which is nice. There's a shop/cafe/toilets on that bit, although the lemur walkthrough was closed when we went on Monday.

I would recommend the boat trip, although the queue was big (but it was bank holiday Monday).

Haha @toomuchlaundry, I think she'll be more interested in the lorries on the motorway, she loves those!

Glad that you can cut some bits out @JW13, we might do that. We would do the boat but we can't take the pram with the baby on, so will have to split up and I imagine the boat takes quite a while? We'll definitely go on the train though!

@WindFlower92 you're on the boat for about 20 mins and you'd have to leave the pram by the jetty but you can all sit together and it's fun feeding the sea lions/seeing the gorillas.

Have a great day!
