Weekend Plans?

Anyone up to much? I was planning to make a sticky chicken & plum tray bake for tea but the afternoon went on & I couldn’t be arsed so we’re having Harry Ramsden’s jumbo battered sausages, chips & peas instead. Amused that Ramsdens came out as Ramadan lol 🤣🤣🤣 Looking forward to the trial verdict on Corrie tonight. Working tomorrow til 4. Not sure what’s happening after that but I might go for a swim as I’ve hardly been to the beach all summer. Love being in the sea. Such a sense of freedom & exhilaration. Steaks for tea with dauphinois potatoes & broccoli yum. Sunday is DH’s only day off so usually pretty chilled.

Tomorrow we are going shopping for rugby kit and then doing a scarecrow trail.
Sunday Dds have their rugby training. Then DH departs for his course (6.5 months but home weekends)

Anyone out there??

Tomorrow I’m taking ds and maybe dd2 swimming, taking dd1 to work at midday and she works next to the gym so I’ll drop her and we’ll swim. Dh will be mowing the lawn, sorting out some stuff in the garden and changing the house water filter.
Then I’m going to plough on with some washing, clean out the pet enclosure and probably lie down on the sofa in my new blanket for a while!
Sunday I’ll be up early for a run then we are planning on a walk and lunch followed by a bbq in the evening to make the most of the supposed good weather.
So some nice things to look forward to.

We’re swimming today.

Tomorrow we’re going fossil hunting. There’s a nature reserve next to a working brick works which has spare clay regularly dumped in a corner to hunt in.

Also working out what caused the leak into the basement We’re 99% sure it’s the dishwasher.

DS has rugby this morning
Walk the dog
Food shop
Finish a massive kitchen clear out I started yesterday
Bit of housework
Laundry
Might go and see FiL tomorrow and then for a walk
Pottering about mainly!

Today I am going to a small, local festival for my first live music in a long time. My favourite singer is headlining, and I should have seen him live the week before the first lockdown but it was cancelled. I am very excited! I am going with my much younger sister, DC are going to my in-laws and I don't have to be a responsible adult. I don't think I will quite believe it's really happening until I get there, as it was a nightmare sorting out the required proof of vaccination etc.
Tomorrow I will be back to being a responsible parent, sorting everything out for DCs' first day back at school on Monday: ironing shirts, making packed lunches, finding everything they need. Usually be this point I am desperate for them to go back, but this year it's not been so bad and I am really not looking forward to having to get up early everyday, make DC get up early and nag them endlessly so they are ready to leave the house.

Leaving at 9am for an hours drive to go hill walking in The Peaks. Expect to get home at 5pm. DS is off to his girlfriends. DH and I will be watching a film and eating duck with pancakes.

The trial verdict is next week, damnit!

Awaiting delivery of a new cooker.
So I’ve cleared bedroom cupboards of charity & rubbish and made a “Christmas drawer “ as a result!
Christmas presents in there now!
Chuffed.
Going to do the office room now.
Feels good to have a clear out.

We got back from a uk break earlier this week and got thrown back into work and school. Finishing unpacking and laundry then buying pe trainers from somewhere.
Dh wants to do a bbq and I’m going for a bike ride with dcs. Also taking ds to football.
Dh is also painting the bathroom ceiling which needed a good clean and refresh.

Late breakfast out in the village with DH and teens. Going to do a couple of hours donation sorting at local Care for Calais centre. Then out with friends for food at a nice restaurant in Manchester. Tomorrow just do a roast about 1pm and family and teen friends will drop in. Then just to chill out and clean in the evening

Music festival in our local park will take up most of the weekend. Meeting DD and DSIL for a bit if a boogie.
