Make me brave

For various reasons I am going to a comedy event this evening on my own. A small improv event (I am most definitely not performing!). I don't know the organiser but he knows I'm going and that I will be alone.

Several other people are also attending alone, although some of them will have met before.

I was full of enthusiasm when I booked, now starting to chicken out.

No alcohol either! Give me the strength?

You'll have a great time. Even if the comedy isn't 100%, just the fact that you did something so far out of your comfort zone will give you such a buzz. Enjoy!

Well done you!
Just think how good you will feel. If it’s shit you just go home Grin. The worst bit is this bit. Once you get there you will be fine.
Have fun.

Oh be brave. Imagine how much scarier it must be to be the performer.

The worst that can happen is that you don't laugh, don't enjoy it and feel a bit billy-no-mates. We've all had that experience over a lifetime and survived it. But chances are you will have a nice time, chat to a couple of other single people and be glad you made the effort.

You'll have a great time! Arrive early and strike up some convo at the bar.

What is the absolute worst thing that could possibly happen? Don’t sit in the front row and if you absolutely hate it, you stand up and you leave. Nothing worse than that. On the other hand, you could have an absolutely fantastic time, laugh your socks off and be full of confidence to go somewhere else by yourself.

How did it go @LegendaryReady?

LegendaryReady · 04/09/2021 15:38

It was good. The doorperson introduced me to a couple of people when I arrived. They were pleasant enough but I think they'd have preferred to be left to their night out without me Grin Once the show started it didn't matter that I was on my own though. I enjoyed it and glad I went.
