Would you get this checked by a GP or leave it?

I have this dark red dot/black spot on my fingertip.

I have had it a few weeks. I thought it was a tiny blood blister

However, I've even put a sterile needle through it and it doesn't pop? I thought blood blisters would pop if you did pop them, since they have a build up underneath of blood

Would you get it checked by GP? I'm just wondering since it is quite uncomfortable to be honest

Yes, if it hurts I would.

Thank you. I just feel a bit of a silly mare getting a GP to see a blister Blush

Yeah you should get it checked especially if it's painful. We're not the experts so it's always better to get the expert to check. No harm in checking right..

Just to put your mind at rest a bit. Blood blisters can go hard and dry out...so popping it achieves nothing. Eventually it either grows out or the blood is reabsorbed.

What about asking a pharmacist first. They will always suggest GP if they are not sure or are concerned.

Thank you, I will try a pharmacist since it'll only take a quick glance and they can tell me if I need to see a GP, so if I do seem silly, I can announce the pharmacist told me so Grin
