Mine is already back at school so I’m in full menu planning mode.

Tonight:

Salmon in orange sauce with new potatoes and baby vegetables

Saturday:

Homemade burgers with sweet potato fries and salad

Sunday:

Roast chicken dinner

Have got meals planned for next week too but don’t know what order we’ll have them in yet

3GreenPullups · 03/09/2021 14:42

The orange sauce sounds interesting!

Tonight is home made sweet and sour sauce with fake chicken nuggets, stir fry with black bean and garlic sauce, rice and bought spring rolls. We always have a fake away.

Tomorrow will be avocado and eggs on focaccia for brunch. I’m going out for dinner. Dh will have spinach and ricotta tortellini pasta with pesto and olives.

Sunday lunch is veggie sausages, mash and whatever veg is in the fridge. Probably sautéed leeks.

MinnieMountain · 03/09/2021 15:50

Tonight- prawn curry and rice.
Saturday- probably fish and chips.
Sunday- roast venison.

IndiaDreaming · 03/09/2021 15:52

Saturday - Kung po cauliflower, egg fried rice, tempura king prawns and veg spring rolls

Sunday - roast chicken and all the trimmings

Different meals for each member of the family sounds hard work.
I would never knowingly serve a meal I knew someone disliked but I would not make more than one meal.

mbosnz · 03/09/2021 17:20

Friday night is takeout night.

Saturday, we're having home-made bbq pizzas for lunch, and Mexican Pibl (home-made) for tea. Most adventurous!

Sunday, homemade bbq burgers for lunch, and for tea, as next day back to school and work, f & C for tea.

Inextremis · 03/09/2021 17:30

Tonight: homemade broccoli and cheese quiche, followed by a chunk of red velvet cake - had one last week (from Tesco) for a celebration, and I've been craving it ever since - a bargain at only €3! (serves 6)

Saturday: Chicken madras and pilau rice

Sunday: slow roast lamb, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds, veg

disculpe · 03/09/2021 17:36

Tonight is chicken marsala with cubed rosemary potatoes and veg. Going to a decent ice cream place around the corner for dessert too.
Tomorrow we are out for lunch at a workmates house, so no plan for Saturday night in case they put on a big spread!
Sunday is roast pork with dauphinois potatoes and plenty of veg. And I'm going to attempt a homemade cherry pie with either custard or ice cream. 🥧

Snuzzle · 03/09/2021 17:55

@3GreenPullups it’s basically orange juice, honey and balsamic vinegar. DD loves salmon so I’m always looking for different ideas for it and the orange sauce is her favourite so far.

Yeah, I can't really get past this either.

We'll have a takeaway tonight (chicken from the Middle Eastern local, or maybe Thai). Tomorrow night probably simple pasta with a tomato sauce and olives. Sunday probably a lot of roast veg with a can of pulses and maybe some rice or bulghur, with yoghurt, nuts and herbs.

AdditionalCharacter · 03/09/2021 18:04

Today - salmon and spinach fish cakes, chips and peas
Tomorrow - mushroom risotto
Sunday - mince and tatties served in a giant yorkshire pudding.

idontlikealdi · 03/09/2021 18:06

Tonight the kids are making pizzas in wraps, we're having Cypriot mince and potatoes with yogurt a large Meliz Cooks

Tomorrow - out

Sunday - roast pork belly

DialsMavis · 03/09/2021 18:12

We have to eat different meals sometimes too. Im vegan, DH and DD are pescatarean and DS is a confirmed carnivore!

Tonight I am home alone and trying to get back on track after some indulgences while away so I am having pan fried marinaded tofu and salad.

Tomorrow I am making curry and bombay potatoes

Sunday I had planned pie and mash and loads of veg but weather is looking really nice so might do a BBQ instead. DH is away so it depends if I can be bothered

FizzyPink · 03/09/2021 18:17

Tonight - homemade pizzas with whatever toppings I pick up from Sainsbury’s when I can be bothered to get out the bath
Tomorrow - Pinch of Nom lemon chicken orzo bake

Different meals- well DS1 has ASD and as a part of that is sensory processing disorder which means he has a limited palate. He projectile vomits anything but the plainest meals. (It was rather funny when my DM refused to believe me and gave him a slice of banana when he was about 8 but that's another story).

DH is a vegetarian.

If I ate what the others eat then I would never eat anything I like at all. So it works for us.

I changed the French onion soup today for couscous with med veg for me and DH with lemon chicken thighs on the side for me. And plain chicken with pasta and hidden vegetable sauce for the Dcs.

Thanks for the orange salmon sauce @Snuzzle!

Tofu is one of my weaknesses! I do crumbed tofu nuggets with BBQ sauce when Dh is feeling particularly in need. Gorgeous.

Tonight is Thai Green Curry (pasta pesto for yd as she doesn't like Thai flavours)
Tomorrow was going to be a roast, but seeing as it's going to be about 27 deg, I think it will be a spatchcock chicken on the bbq with salady stuff.

For once, I have actually done a meal plan for approx 10 days. I do a 7 day one usually, but had to isolate this weekend from Fri until Tues when I am in hospital. It was quite nice doing the shop and knowing exactly what I needed to buy. Still spent far too much though. Need to work on that bit.

ComtesseDeSpair · 04/09/2021 13:42

Our weekend menu is whatever the restaurants we visit are providing. We almost always eat out Friday evening plus two meals a day Saturday and Sunday.

I don’t want to spend my weekends faffing about in the kitchen.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 04/09/2021 13:44

Maccies last night
Kebab and beers tonight
Ping meal and gin tomorrow
Sorted

Theworldisfullofgs · 04/09/2021 13:45

Tonight : Fajitas

Tomorrow: make from scratch chicken Kiev and chocolate fondant. DS is practicing for his food tech exam.
