TV for a teenagers room

Going to buy a TV for DS as he plays a lot of Xbox and it's currently in the front room.

Planning to put the tv & Xbox in his bedroom.

Any recommendations?

He also watched you-tube & fire stick

Between HDR, backlit tv, smart, HD-ready, LED etc I'm having difficulty knowing what is best.

Depending on the age of said teenager you also need to consider rules, times and handing over the xbox controller at a certain time.

My friend has an en-suite so when she gets up to go to the toilet in the middle of the night she doesn't have to leave her room. One night she woke and remembered she had left a window open downstairs, walked out onto the landing to see light coming from under her son's door at 3am He had been gaming every night for months on end, headphones in.

It will encourage him to just be in his room all the time, what reason will he have to come out? Just a thought. No my teenagers have never had any tech/tvs etc in their rooms but they do have a den downstairs where it all lived.

We're going to be in a 3-bed flat, with no other space other than a shared lounge/diner.

At the moment we are in a 4-bed house but he uses the front room & has limitations on use. But with only 1 tv in the house I can't watch anything till after 9.30pn

His room is the only place it can go

Go for a smart tv but not too big, under 32inch I’d say and just remove the fire stick/tv remote at a certain time if there are any trust issues
