Very "Woo" experience just happened!

I was walking my dogs on the coastal path. I bent down to pick up after one of the dogs, and as I did I heard the sound of a bike approaching and the rider rang their bell. I picked up the mess and quickly pulled the dogs to one side, but....there was NO BIKE. There was absolutely nowhere for it to have gone, as one side is the sea, and the other side is a fence and flats. WTF?

I can't think how the sound would have carried in this instance. I can see the coastal path behind and in front, and there were no bikes to be seen.

Last year, when I was in my front garden, I heard knocking on the window from the inside, but no one else was home! (DH and DD at work).

Anyone else had strange stuff happen?

I heard someone run down the stairs the other night. 5 children and a husband makes this a regular occurrence in our house, but the three youngest kids were upstairs in our room with their dad, and the older two were shut in their bedrooms. It couldn't possibly have been any of them.

Once I heard a male laugh by the bathroom door and then the toilet flush handle fell off in there straight afterwards. My neighbor was with me and heard it too! No men in the house at the time

I once lived in an old house and odd things happened there. One day I was in the front room with my dog who was dozing on the opposite chair.
I heard the front door [right next to the front room] shut and from the corner of my eye I saw a figure passed the full glass door which was in between the hall and the front room. The dog looked up too.
I just thought it was my partner coming in from work, but no, silence.

Partner came in later to find me shaken. A few things happened in that house...[and in other places when I was with that partner!]. We had to move from that house, it was all too weird and a bit worrying.

People will disbelieve and judge, find obscure reasons etc...until it happens to them.

Somebody knocked on the door at 5am this morning and it woke me up. Dh said there was no one there.

Noting strange from me, I tend to star gaze at times and the most exciting thing was the space station, but other than that nothing worthy of an x file or an intelligence briefing report.

I d suggest sound traveling from near by or cloaking or camo technology being used.

Grasping at straws: someone had dropped heir phone near the path, and it had the bicycle bell chime for incoming texts
