How much is a maths tutor?

How much is the going rate now please for a weekly lesson of Maths (primary) (in the North West if that helps for reference)

Also, would you expect to pay weekly during term time only, or monthly and have the lessons continue through the holidays?

It's a minimum of £25 an hour here. That's at all levels.

Terms depend on what the tutor offers and the student wants/needs.

£30 here in the Midlands.

I'm paying £20 an hour once a week term time. Teacher is an ex primary school teacher and absolutely amazing.

I want to know what SamTutor said that was so bad?!

I thought it was about that. £30 - £35 sounds about right for me. My mum was paying £20 an hour 30 years ago!

I tutor for secondary but charge £30 per hour. I assume primary tuition would cost about the same, after a the level of qualification and preparation would be the same.
