Gift ideas for a 9 year old girl

Hi I have grown up boys so am clueless as to what girls like.
I know she likes LOL stuff but it all looks so horrible and plastic and pink! I know that’s what girls like but any alternatives

My nearly 9 year old DD likes:

  • other plastic toys: Hatchimals, Twisty Petz, Little Live Pets. All plastic still but a bit less grim than LOL
  • educational stuff: IQ games, Horrible Histories, science kits, non fiction books
  • stationery: pencil case, key rings, nice pens (glitter, fineliners, neon etc) or stationery, spirograph, Depesche sticker/colouring books
  • Gravitrax

She’s probably on the young end for her age iyswim

DD is 8.5, she likes Lego Friends and is still partial to a bit of Barbie. She really likes stationery and things like (age approriate) bath bombs, lip balm, jewellery etc.

Mine is v in to clothes and would rather a new top / outfit that a toy. Perhaps that's not normal...

But if LOL is what she likes I'd just go for it even if it is a bit pink / plastic. She'd play with it so might be less wasteful than getting another item that just sits on a shelf.

My dd is 9.5 - for her 9th I got her anything I could find with pandas on, board games; her favourites are scrabble, guess who & Ludo, she loves colouring and making things - candles, rock painting, sun catchers, painting money boxes

Also got her pyjamas, Dork diary books, sleepover club books

How about tshirts, pyjamas with LOL, LOL activity book, LOL pencil case/ lunch box, something nice to wear like rainbow leggins, hoodie, shoes, bagpack, key rings, Claire and smiggles will be your to go places. Tkmaxx for journals and dairies, a blanket.
