Help! I need to buy ds new jeans tomorrow and he isn’t here to give me any direction. I know I’m going to get this wrong! He has to dash in from school, grab and dash out again (he’s lived in jogging bottoms all summer). Hes 17

DS is wearing straight leg jeans now. DD is wearing wide leg flared ones that are more holes than jeans!

I think skinny/slim is still for boys his age unless he has a "style" like skater or hippy.

Yes definitely slim but not spray on skinny

He was wearing skinny last time I saw him in jeans but that was months ago. He doesn’t have a style really. I guess if anything I’d describe it as a bit preppy?

Ok so sounds like if I go straight/slim that should be fairly safe?

Colour? Or is anything ok?

Safest bet is a dark colour I think! Is he normally in colour or greys, blacks, and whites?

HasaDigaEebowai · 02/09/2021 21:50

He normally wears a lot of white black and navy - but not jeans recently

At my daughters sixth form Evisu jeans are popular (they are a japanese brand). Not sure where you can buy them, but they are a straight leg style which is in at the moment, you could probably get some unbranded ones which look similar

£2-400 jeans are 'popular' in your kid's school? I suspect we have very different lifestyles
Zampa · 02/09/2021 22:08

Evisu? Wow, the 1990s really are back in fashion!

HasaDigaEebowai · 02/09/2021 22:18

I’ve just told DH evisu are back and now cost £300 and he’s well pissed off at the number of pairs he sent to the charity shop!

Straight leg tbh.

Girls are back in flares and boot cuts
