I regularly ship to the US for my work :)
I highly recommend checking on parcel2go I've found them to be the cheapest when looking at comparisons mostly I use FedEx :)

I used UPS got my parcel there in 2 days was around 4kg and cost £36. Royal Mail said it would cost £78 and take 28 days!

BigPyjamas · 02/09/2021 22:50

Royal Mail are so slow they're glacial. And hugely expensive. And then the parcel mysteriously disappears on the US side.

Will look into ups and parcel2go... have you used these recently?

UPS social media is rife with such bad reviews!!!!!

I need something really reliable

I just want to stick up a bit for the Post Office!

The utter crapness of the US Postal Service really makes me appreciate and miss the Royal Mail! I haven't used them recently, but when I used to send a lot of parcels from UK to US, they generally took about 5 days and were not at all expensive. Shipping stuff from the US to UK is ludicrously expensive AND slow!

Interparcel is my go-to. You pick the exact courier from a price list. I usually use Parcelforce for US (cheaper through Interparcel than direct with Parcelforce). It's reliable (I've used them several times in the last month).

Ah ok so will look at Interparcel and Parcel force.

I assume they let you print off the paperwork....I believe you have to have paperwork

Yes. You complete customs forms as part of the booking process and then print them off.

Right have a price from Interparcel for parcel to US - so Fedex are coming up cheapest - Parcelforce are £25 more!!!

I want to most reliable though!!!

Right gone with Parcel Force - Fedex has so many bad reviews shipping to US at the moment ParcelForce has more positive reports and reviews! Wish me luck!!!!!
