Doorstep Discovery . Where has it come from?

After parking up this morning , I spotted a small paper bag on our driveway. It was on on our steps , not hidden but to the side.

It contained (new) condoms! Confused It looks like one of those free bags of condoms you would get from a sexual health clinic (they aren’t boxed , they’re in a paper bag with a sachet of lube to boot Grin ) .

We have no teens ; our children are young.

DD1 said she noticed it yesterday afternoon but she didn’t know what it was. It was not there yesterday morning but it was there by yesterday afternoon.

DH popped out yesterday afternoon and hasn’t been out since.

We’ve had no deliveries and we live in a sleepy village.

Any guesses where they have come from?

Blimey! This is where a Ring doorbell would really help you!

BrieAndYou · 02/09/2021 13:05

Yes I think we need to invest in one!

Jehovah's witnesses are trying a new approach?
Royal mail think you've got enough kids?
Deliveroo being bashful?

Have you got a long driveway with bushes and a couple out late at night mistook your drive for a country lane?

Ylvamoon · 02/09/2021 15:40

Ahem.... its one of your neighbours.
They are fed up with your DC after 6 weeks of constant jumping on the imaginary trampoline in your garden. Their way of saying, can't change the current situation, but will control the future!

MrsRobbieHart · 02/09/2021 15:41

Mistaken address?

kwiksavenofrillsusername · 02/09/2021 15:58

Maybe someone was walking home with their goodies, placed them on your step because they needed both hands to text their hookup buddy, and then forgot their bag.

Could it be a sort of Tooth Fairy thing for adults?

BrieAndYou · 02/09/2021 16:38

All good ideas but unlikely Grin

Is it possible they’ve fallen out of someone’s pocket at our door and they haven’t realised?

Are there any colleges or sixth forms near you that a student from your village might attend and walk by your house to get home? They get given this sort of thing free sometimes, in the first few days of induction, so a student could have dumped it there because they didn't want to carry it home anymore and were too lazy to find a bin/didn't want their mom and dad to find it ect.

We’re not on a main road; whoever put it there would have to actually enter our property . I think it has fallen out of someone’s pocket or bag but they would have had to have been on our property.

Husband put his hand in his coat pocket doe car keys and the bag fell out??

Where has he gone?

Mariell · 02/09/2021 16:53

For not doe

BrieAndYou · 02/09/2021 17:00

DH car is parked off the drive in a lay-by so scrabbling for keys wouldn’t make sense as he has to walk up to our house , past where they were found.

Should I be asking DH questions? Shock that was not my first thought.
