Hi all

My OH (male) is suffering from dandruff so I said I’d ask on here for recommendations on what shampoo he could use.

Any ideas? Thanks

I like Body Shop ginger shampoo.

MooBoom · 02/09/2021 11:23

@Ginisatonic do you suffer from dandruff and if so does this eliminate it?

This is what I used to use for bad dandruff. Smells strong but works well.

@MooBoom yes. I’d run out for a few weeks and I bought some more and noticed the difference straight away. I’ve tried others like head and shoulders and TGel but, for me, the ginger shampoo (and conditioner) works well. They also do a scalp treatment which I haven’t tried but I might buy that next time.

Baby cradle cap shampoo works for my DP. It’s amazing.

MooBoom · 02/09/2021 11:52

@Ginisatonic great, I’ll recommend it. It sounds very promising.

I find the only thing that works is Nizoral, use it every other wash.

Starbonnet123 · 02/09/2021 11:58

My daughter absolutely swears by Aldi's anti dandruff shampoo, she's tried quite a few including head and shoulders and reckons Aldi's is so much better 😁

JovialNickname · 02/09/2021 16:50

Nizoral is really good if you have proper, visible dandruff as opposed to a few flakes. Really does the trick!

It can be hard to find, but I usually get it from larger Asda stores.

Nizoral is the one that works best for me.

The head and shoulders clinical solutions with selenium in it was also reasonable, also Delaunay from the chemist which has the same active ingredient, but not as good on my scalp as the nizoral.

The body shop stuff was heavily suggested to me by a few people, but it actually made my scalp worse.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 03/09/2021 16:29

Delaunay should read Selsun, but my phone had a wobbler about the spelling.
