Has anyone got experience with Langley Girls school in Bromley?

Hi,
So I need to start thinking about secondary schools for DD. She has ASD but no EHCP, academically she’s about average, struggles a bit in maths.
Because of her ASD the most important thing to me is that she’s happy and well supported at school. I need her to be somewhere where staff will look out for her, understand that she’s likely stressed 90% of the time but unable to show it because she’s masks.
Obviously I want her to try her best and do well in exams but her mental health trumps that and I don’t want her put under huge amounts of pressure.

Langley is one option for us (we are only just in catchment most years, our other nearest would be Ravensbourne) but I know nothing about it! Does it have good SEN provisions? I would be interested in any and all experiences people have had.

My DD starts Y10 now and we are very happy with Langley. She is borderline ADD and our experience with the student support team and the SENCO team are good, they are busy and you sometimes have to chase but they are really looking out for the girls.

I wouldn’t touch Ravensbourne at all, most people we talked to are not happy at all. They changed leadership so not sure how much that has made an impact though.

That’s really good to hear, is there a lot of pressure to achieve academically? I know the school gets really good results but I know if my daughter is pushed too far or too hard she’ll fall apart.

Unfortunately Ravensbourne is our nearest school, I know of the reputation but I also of people with kids there that are happy with it. It’s getting a new head this year so that might help too.

I do think Langley puts a huge amount on ensuring the exams are taking seriously and push them to revise.

But I also know that they are very consious that not all girls are academically and will ensure that all girls are stretched but not overstretched.
