hRT patches and sensitive breasts

Has anyone any experience of this? I am approx four weeks into patches and my breast a feel like I am pregnant or have PMT.

Is this a known side effect? And do I persevere or skip the patches?

Yep. My first two months were bloody awful for tenderness, but settled by month three. Stick with it.

I also had some pretty funky dreams for the first couple of months as well that have subsided.
I’m on Evorel.

NoYOUbekind · 01/09/2021 23:28

Yep, really common. Where are you putting the patches? Mine go mid-thigh so basically as far away from my boobs as possible. And I alternate sides every time too.

Evorel here too and mine are quite sore on week 3 and 4. I’ve been on them about 3 months now. Makes sense that this would be a side effect though.

I’ve been putting mine on my hip/bum - is that too high?

Cyrsethatballoon · 01/09/2021 23:38

Mine were awful for 3 months but then settled down

TheNarwhalBalloon · 01/09/2021 23:40

Yes, it comes and goes for me but is never too awful. Really normal.

I do mine lower, sort of mid thigh. Def not my hip unless I'm swimming or something where I'm showing skin.

Mine were mid thigh - I took it off this week as I couldn’t stand not being able to sleep on my stomach. The whole reason I wanted HrT was to improve my sleep!
