How much would you pay for professional clean?

Normal sized family kitchen. Flagstone floor. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 10 years (we've just moved). Just had a quote to have it cleaned because it's incredibly stained/ dirty/ dusty. Quote was £900. That must seem steep? Company seemed shocked that I would question it. Shock

God no I wouldn't pay that...

I was sure they had added an extra 0 by mistake. Blush

Just for that floor, that's obscene. I've paid £350 for a post building work clean before though, and it was worth every penny. Two people worked for about 10 hours to clean the house top to bottom. I'd happily pay it again!

I think I will be getting a few more quotes then! I was starting to feel like I was going mad.

Is the quote for a prof clean or to strip a stone floor, refinish and seal? They are two very different services. If it's just a clean, can you hire or borrow a floor steamer?

For that much I'd expect the whole house cleaned including garden/shed/garage Shock

It's to "restore and reseal stone floor" so maybe that is more than just a clean as I had assumed @ChocolateHelps.
