So, I’ve put DDs new penicillin case some where for safe keeping. Back to school tomorrow and can I find it? Absolutely not. I’ve searched high and low, can anyone recommend a place to look?
Promise to come back and update said pencil cases hiding place.

Have you got an airing cupboard?
Mine's a fucker for stuff like that.

What else did you buy at the same time? Is it with these items?

@TheDistortion Looked on top of fridge, found some dusty sparklers but no pencil case. Looked in all the bags I can think of.

@TheQueef Don’t have an airing cupboard sadly - or gladly really cos I’m sure I’d fill it with odds and sods.

With new shoes, or in new school bag?

Re- Instate the context. Imagine yourself holding the pencil case. What can you see, hear , smell. What are you doing?

I’m awful for accidentally leaving things in the bags for life and sticking them back in the drawer. Maybe check where you keep your bags.

Airing cupboard is vastly over rated.
Everything gets rammled in there, the cat sneaks in every single time and the jaggy shelves scratch at nipple height when you need to drag pissy paws out.

Things are usually within a few inches of where they should be ( Dr Solomon) but have slipped out of sight.
So if you think it's on the bookshelf it probably is... but slipped inside or underneath something , or overturned so the colour is blending in to the background.....

Do you have any Ziplock bags instead?

@TheQueef Oh I can relate, my cat has mastered the art of opening the wardrobe and sadly loves to sleep on my clothes leaving my clean washing lovely and hairy.

A big regret of mine is getting rid of my airing cupboard. I really miss it. Have you checked in the freezer. I have form for this.

You said you remember putting it on the bookcase, but did you at some point afterwards, see it there and think "Oh, I'll put that somewhere safe", and move it?
