Does anyone not know the number of men they have had sex with?

Got thinking about this after reading another thread about a boyfriend asking.

I have no idea. Is that really bad? Lots is my ballpark guess.

I've had 3 long term relationships in the last 20 years so most of the action was before that. Could piece it together if I really tried I suppose, but there's a good chance a couple of the forgettable ones would be left out.

If we're talking actual intercourse I'm fairly sure it's under 20.

The answers here are biased towards that have slept with 'lots'. I know how many I have slept with, it's in single figures and I've only slept with DH for the last 26 years. However, of my old school and university friends I had slept with more people than anyone else, was the last to settle down and pretty much all of us are still married to the same person so unless some of them are secret swingers suspect I still have a higher number. I was a teenager in the 80s so came of age when AIDS was a terrifying killer and that probably had an impact on my generation.

I kind of do but I’m old and my memory isn’t what it was. I think it’s about seven.

I can't remember names. It's over 90 - I stopped keeping count.
I was fortunate I didn't end up in any dodgy situations - I travelled a lot for work & they were in the same hotel.
Things calmed down in my early 30s & it seems like a lifetime ago.

DH and I started to live together in 1971 when we were 19 years old.
But before that for the two years between 17 and 19 as a single woman in London many good times were had!

I never kept count, I don’t really care. At a guess somewhere between 10 and 20 with most of them concentrated in my late teens and early twenties

I do - I can count them on the fingers of one hand. I've always been unattractive so found it difficult to get sex even when I was younger.

I've been with my DH for 24 years but went a bit wild before I met him. I used to be disappointed in myself that I couldn't remember all their names. Now I don't even remember their faces 😳

I could count the exact number if I put my mind to it but I cba. It’s between 25 - 30. I’ve retired from all that malarkey now and prefer a nice cup of tea .

Also, I refuse to say my ‘number’ if a man asks. IME a woman’s answer is rarely acceptable. Even this week a friend in her 40’s was slut shamed by a guy she was seeing by saying it was 10 (the truth is quite a bit higher). He was particularly nasty about the number of people he believed she had slept with post-divorce. Knob-end.

Mine is less than 10 however I do wonder whether I need to get put more! I'm mid 40s and a huge overthinker so casual has never really worked for me but after reading all this, I feel I'm missing out

I could ballpark at around 25-30. No idea on some names. Had a wild 20s and is probably my biggest regret!

Eight I think including my husband of nearly 20 years. I'm happy with that - I don't regret not shagging more as I had a super fun time in my 20s and was quite wild.

I do regret turning down one v hot Frenchman because I had a boyfriend back in England. He was so handsome but I've always been 100pc faithful. Wish I hadn't turned him down as he was incredibly sexy.

This makes me sad. I don't think a high number is sexual partners equals attractiveness. Quite the opposite sometimes - I think some insecure people seek reassurance by having sex. Certainly a lot of people I know behaved like this when we were all younger.

I'm confident about my looks and feel glad that I only chose to have sex with a few people.

I really don't think attractiveness has anything to do with it @SquirryTheSquirrel and it makes me feel sad you putting yourself down like that. I bet there are some horrors you turned down and are glad you did!

Ugh what a creep your friend met. When I was online dating a guy asked me how many men I’d slept with.

I could guesstimate to +/- 5 but without sitting down with a pen and paper and retracing my youth, I’m not sure I could come up with an accurate number
