Missed periods Covid vaccine

Sorry didn't know where to put this...

I've phoned the drs today and was made to feel like a hypochondriac! (I very rarely go to gp!)
I've not had a proper period in almost 4 months (since having vaccine). I have spotted when period should have been first and second cycle and no bleeding at all that should have been last week.

I know that others have reported missed period but never 3...

Before I ring Drs again in morning, could it be the vaccine or am I right to try and get an appointment to be seen?
Just don't know if I am being a bit of a hypochondriac Blush

There have been a few threads about this already quite recently. You are certainly not alone, and not a hypochondriac. Lots of posters reported similar experiences to yours. Do a search and you'll probably find at least I'll be or two.

I also "missed" at least two periods, but presumed it was a menopause thing. Then they came back with a vengeance! Sad

I didn’t miss, mine were closer together. Just my luck !

I’ve not missed periods but mine have come on time for the first time since I started 19 years ago.... that happened the first time the month after the first jab in March. They used to be 1/2 weeks late every month....

Mine was two weeks late last month following the vaccine and it was so painful and heavy. I am always two days earlier than my previous period date.

Did you report it? coronavirus-yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/

Mine was two weeks late, heavy and painful (I never get pain or heavy periods usually ) after I got the 2nd vaccine. Although, I got covid 12 days after my second vaccine so that also maybe contributed to the delay.

Freshair87 · 31/08/2021 22:34

Mine have been all over the place too, my first was two weeks early the second two weeks late and my third is currently a week late, I'm usually like clockwork, they've all been a lot heavier too. I'm going to start ttc soon and although I know the vaccine doesn't affect fertility I have no idea when I'll be ovulating!

Hi there. To update about my daughters missed periods after the AZ vaccine she had one period which was very nasty and painful and is now back to now periods so one period since March this year. Its very worrying and shes been very upset about it :-(

Not2daySatan · 24/11/2021 18:13

After my 2nd AZ vaccine I missed 1 period. Had my next one (8 weeks after the last 1) I had bloods done to see if peri menopause as I'm 42 but cane back OK but prolactin slightly high. I've now missed another 3 periods (last period 14 weeks ago) dr sending me for blood to check prolactin and testosterone. I.didnt even consider that it could be due to vaccine.
Are you around the age where you could ask about peri menopause?

Our GP was really patronising about periods and the covid vaccination. They don’t believe it’s a problem.
