The 2021 equivalent of Timotei shampoo

Wordly and sophisticated 8yo DD has declared our faithful Child’s Farm to be ‘too babyish’. When I was a similar age my mum used to use Timotei on us but i see it was discontinued in the UK a few years ago. What would be the equivalent now? Something mild without any silicones or similar. I use Redken and she’s not getting her mitts on that.

I miss that stuff Shock

NoEffingWay · 31/08/2021 19:04

Vosene reminds me of being a child.

SheWoreYellow · 31/08/2021 19:05

We use Faith in Nature.

Though saying that I have upgraded DS9 to Herbal Essences for 'normal hair'-he seems happy enough Grin he also uses lynx africa and smells like a teenager in 1996

oreosoreosoreos · 31/08/2021 19:08

I like moo goo - it’s very gentle, but works well. DSS (18) recently had a bad reaction to a Pantene shampoo, so has been using it and he likes it too.

LER83 · 31/08/2021 19:09

Mine use either faith in nature or body shop, my dd loves the banana shampoo from body shop! I used to love Timotie and vosene!

SparklingLime · 31/08/2021 19:09

Agree with Faith in Nature. Loads of flavours to choose from.

siramram · 31/08/2021 19:09

Vosene and Herbal Essences here ✌🏼

Mumdiva99 · 31/08/2021 19:10

My daughter uses the Aussie brand or banana hair food by loreal (I think). Or whatever is on deal!!!

KintsugiCat · 31/08/2021 19:11

Another vote for Faith in Nature

We just use Simple in our house.

Camomila · 31/08/2021 19:23

Alberto Balsam has nice scents and doesn't irritate my super sensitive skin so is probably ok on a 9 year old.

Jemimapuddleduk · 31/08/2021 19:24

Herbal essence, garnier ultimate blends or lush products (rehab shampoo and candy rain or American dream conditioner).

Phyllis321 · 31/08/2021 19:29

You can buy Timotei on Amazon although the bottle is different.

ElephantOfRisk · 31/08/2021 19:37

20 year old DS was still using child's farm as it was good with his long curls...he shaved his head for charity so I don't think he is using much more than a bar of soap now though Grin

GuyFawkesDay · 31/08/2021 19:38

Aveeno shampoo for us.

RubySlippers123 · 31/08/2021 22:08

Simple.

Sakura7 · 31/08/2021 22:28

I would think Herbal Essences is the closest.

frugalkitty · 31/08/2021 22:33

The Aveeno shampoos are really nice.

Willowthewispp · 31/08/2021 22:36

Love beauty and planet. Been using it for around 6 months. Its amazing and makes mine a dds hair super shiny. Our hair been really healthy since using it.

Rainbowsew · 31/08/2021 23:11

Simple, unless she wants a fragranced one.

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 04/09/2021 13:15

Lovely. Thank you all. I've ordered some Faith in Nature to try.
