Where can I buy contact lenses over the counter?

Is it possible to buy contact lenses over the counter anywhere? I've checked with Boots and they order them in which takes a week. Does anywhere just sell them over the counter?!

don't they have to be made to your prescription ?

Do you know the contact lense prescription?
I can't think of anywhere that would stock all the brands and strengths only online.

Yes I have a current prescription

If it's a common strength you could maybe call around any local dispensing opticians but I imagine you'd need a bit of luck.

Not over the counter but I buy mine on Lenstore and they arrive the next day

I've always got them in Specsavers.
