Not had this for over 18 months and now it's reared it's ugly head. Why on a bank holiday weekend when I was hoping to chill does it have to?

Feel for you. Had this years ago when on holiday in a friends cottage. Constantly getting out of bed to go for a pee and the stinging. One of the most miserable nights of my life. Couldn't wait to get home and to the doctors.

Yes, it's horrible and I seem to go through cycles of getting it a lot and then nothing for a while. I hate it.

If you can get to either Boots or Superdrug tomorrow you can get a prescription for antibiotics without seeing a doctor. In the meantime drink as much as you can, use a hot water bottle if you can & take simple painkillers, either paracetamol or Ibuprofen, put a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in a pint of water or weak squash & drink it every 2 hours as well as other fluids, avoid tea & coffee.

I feel your pain. I'm currently on the loo and panicking about how I'm going to deal with a flight later today.
Hope you can get some sleep and feel better soon.

@Whatelsecouldibecalled that did make me chuckle. Clearly they were cycling through my mind 🤣

@GingerPCatt I hope you feel better for your flight. I can't think of anything worse 😪

A lot of supermarkets sell cystitis relief sachets. It’s often worked for me - feels miles better very quickly.

Yes get these!!! The sooner you take them the quicker it goes away. If you can't get any then you can also use bicarb of soda mixed with water. Keep drinking water, and use a hot water bottle too

Luckily I found some in the cupboard but I usually end up on antibiotics.
