Boiler playing up again. What's this light?

Last year we had a new heating part put in boiler as it was going hot to cold. It's started doing it again. So I'll notify estate agents Tue. But tonight noticed the light on the box outside is red? I'm pretty sure I've not seen it red before? Does anyone know if that's meant to be red.?

What boiler is it, does that box fix onto the boiler

Is it a Hive thermostat

It usually means there is something wrong with the wireless connection, that's for your hive.

Does it need new batteries

Ah OK we have hive. The battery was flashing in the thermostat. Would that affect the hot water going cold tho.

Ill buy batteries tomorrow as dcs used the last of them yesterday in a toy.

The hive box was there when moved in. We don't have linked to phones or anything as we're useless haha. Just switch on and off the heating when needed

I would take the batteries out of the toy and put them in the hive, see if that works. Have you for the instruction manual or can see what make the hive box is.
