Strider 14x Bike. Worth the money?

My son has just turned 3 and has a regular balance bike that he loves. He has a bike too but its too big and heavy and he can't fathom how to pedal forwards yet. He looks far too tall for his current balance bike so want to get him one of the larger, Strider bikes that you can put the pedals on when he's ready.

Any reviews, good or bad?

Thanks

You could remove the pedals from the pedal bike.

The bike is like a tank. Even with the pedals off its not a great bike unfortunately. He has no confidence or desire to even try and ride it.

I've had good experiences with Islabikes with the children I've looked after, the 4yr old learnt to ride a couple of days after her third birthday. They are really lightweight and easy to ride. They are expensive, but often sold second hand and you can sell it on after they grow out of it for more or less what you paid for it.

I would recommend buying a decent pedal bike. If he's an enthusiastic balance biker, it should only take a day or two to get the hang of it. (And you can always take the pedals off)

Sorry, I meant to say - I rate Frog bikes personally. A bit cheaper than islabikes.

Frog bikes are impossible to get hold of ever since Prince Louis was photographed in one

Was the bike a present / hand me down?
I'd get him a better bike (frog and isla are both good and really hold their value) rather than a bigger balance bike.

Thank you all. I will look into your suggestions 😊
