Does anyone know of a company that does something where they do hampers for prepared meals/ingredients for meals? It’s for a friend whose grieving a very recent loss and want to get something to make life easier so they don’t have to cook a few meals, rather than a hamper full of cakes / sweets etc which I’m not sure they’d appreciate at the mo.
The kind of thing I’d like to prepare myself but unfortunately can’t due to isolating with covid..
I’ve found cook meals but they don’t cover our area..and lots of very healthy meal companies but just want normal meals that are a bit more comforting..
Are there any companies that do this kind of thing?

Could you organise an Ocado (M&S) or Waitrose delivery?

@MintyCedric yes maybe that’s the best solution. Thanks

Maybe just a Waitrose delivery of some nice ready meals and a couple of bags of prepared vege/salad? Or is it for a family, rather than an individual, in which case that might not work?

Or if you know what he likes, place an order with Parsleybox or Wiltshire Farm Foods for ready meals.

Do you have a Cook near you? They do vouchers.

Sauvignonblanket · 29/08/2021 20:18

Sorry - I mean do they have a Cook near them?

The Charlie Bigham meals you can get from Waitrose and Ocado are lovely.

Thanks for the tips. No I don’t think they have a cook near them.. the ready meal type things from Waitrose ate a good idea though

Cook do home delivery by courier.

Mogloveseggs · 01/09/2021 16:04

Are you near any farm shops? They might deliver locally?

TheFairPrincess · 01/09/2021 16:07

that’s a lovely idea, I would just do an online shop delivered to their house; a selection of nice ready meals, some picnic/antipasti for lunches and some basics like milk and fresh bakery bread.

Just make sure she has enough space in her fridge/freezer before you buy anything, though.

Thanks for all the tips
@sueelleker we ordered a parsley box selection of meals so thanks for the tip as I’d never heard of the company. She seemed pleased with them so thank you!
