Gift for hosts for brunch

We have been invited for brunch with some friends which we are looking forward to. They are not close friends but we have a lovely time when we do meet up and we enjoy their company.

We would like to take a gift or contribution but not sure what. I shall take some flowers but what else would be a good idea? I would normally take a decent bottle of wine but it seems an odd gift for a brunch.

Fresh juice and fizz for making Mimosas or some such?

QuitMoaning · 29/08/2021 18:20

I like the fancy jam or honey idea. Might see if I can get some tomorrow.

Not sure about the mimosas with these people but worth remembering for other occasions.

Thank you.

Half a dozen local (or posh) eggs?

Flowers are tricky unless you have a bunch with a water well already. I hate receiving flowers and guests at the same time and being expected to tend to both! Brunch - bring good coffee, champagne or other fizzy stuff if on a budget, home made cookies or fudge.
