Morrisons Home Delivery Question

TenInSport · 29/08/2021 10:12

I am new to the world of supermarket deliveries and I have my first one due to arrive from Morrisons between 3pm and 4pm tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if they email in advance to tell me what exactly is arriving and whether anything will be missing?

I will be popping to a different supermarket earlier in the day and it would be useful to know if there is anything else I will need to pick up. Thank you.

most of them do, tesco and asda, i cant remember morrisons as only use them occasionally

I get Mozza’s occasionally, yes they do let you know missing items and anything they’ve subbed in advance.

pudseypie · 29/08/2021 10:17

Yes I use Morrisons and they send an email with your receipt before delivery. It shows what is missing and any substitutions. You can reject the substitutions if they aren't suitable.

QuestionableMouse · 29/08/2021 10:18

Yep, you'll get an email. Substitutions or missing items will be at the top.

You'll need bags or something to put it in because it'll come loose in the delivery crates.

pudseypie · 29/08/2021 10:20

Mine all come bagged now, not loose in crates. 10p per bag though so keep them and hand them back to the driver next time and they refund you the money

Morrisons send you a text once they have picked it reminding you they are coming and letting you know there are items missing/substituted.

You then have to check your emails if you want to see what is missing/substituted.

Any subbed items get delivered in blue plastic bags so they are easy to spot.

I hand my plastic bags back to the driver.

They are one of the worst for short dated items though and trying to get a refund online is a palaver

Thanks everyone! And the heads-up about needing bags is useful as I hadn't even thought of that!

Can anyone tell me how soon before the delivery they send the email?

Just checked my email- my last one came through at 7pm for a 9-10pm delivery but it might be different in different stores.

pastabest · 29/08/2021 11:57

Mine this morning came through at 9.27 for a 10:00-11:00 slot.

That's pretty typical in my experience. You get the email once they have 'put it through the checkout' and onto the delivery vans for delivery for the next time slot.
