I'd like to ask about VAT and import duty from USA. I used to buy from iherb which is an American site but I could never spend above £15 inc delivery or I would be hit with a vat charge and a £10 collection fee by the delivery company.
But there's something I want that I can't get in the uk so I went on the iherb website. It's now charging me vat at source and I don't think there's any duty to pay under £135. Is,that right? If I spend over £29.99 I don't have to pay delivery. This seems a great improvement on before because I used to end up with all sorts of fees.
Can anyone confirm if this is correct? I've been caught out before over these things but if I'm reading it correctly, I've got a huge order to put in! Whoopee.
