Did you have a lockdown baby? What’s the story

I know a lot of people who have had babies over the last year or so (including myself) and wondered if we had a baby boom on our hands. It would be really interesting to hear people’s reasons for getting pregnant if they wouldn’t have otherwise done so.

My reason was that our wedding was postponed and I’m late 30s so didn’t want to be hanging around for another year. Plus being preggers in a world where you’re not missing out on nights out and you can slob around in leggings while working from home actually worked quite well. It does mean no exotic honeymoon for us and I’ve had to get my wedding dress altered for breastfeeding but they are small prices to pay compared to the cost of covid for so many people.

I had a baby in June , but we were planning/trying before any covid/lockdown stuff happened.
We had two miscarriages prior to my baby girl

Covid and lockdowns didn't change anything for us we continued with our plan.
The only thing which is disappointing is I wanted to do all the baby groups and stuff this time because I didn't with my first and regretted it.

Had a baby in March. (Dc3)
Really wasn’t planned. We got pissed and had unprotected sex. Blush
She is an absolute delight though so I’m very glad we did!

I had twins after 7 losses. 5th and final round of IVF - I was furloughed for a month which helped with going to appointments etc plus knew working from home would be in place for at least 12 months so pregnancy would be easier.
