Faint positives, indents, or overactive imagination?

Hi,

Dh and I have been trying for a baby for a while. I had my last 'normal' on 22nd July, meaning I would be 10 days late today. However 2 weeks after that period on 22nd July I had a strange bleed that lasted 3 days and wasn't like my usual period in terms of consistency.

My periods are normally regular so I am very confused and a bit concerned of what that bleed was. Anyway, I took these pg tests and think I can see faint lines, but I'm not sure? Also did a blue dye tesco test and it was a definite negative.

If I was pregnant I would think that the tests should be darker by now? Or am. I just imagining things that aren't there? Thanks.

They look exactly like mine did with DS2. I'd say congratulations are in order.

If you are certain of when you ovulated and you are 10 days late then I'd say these were BFN sorry x

Can I ask what brand they are? I had awful colour evaps with Freedom. Heart breaking.

anotherwinkywinkybumbum · 28/08/2021 11:52

Mind you, yes, 10 days late would be a good indication!

justcheckingwithya · 28/08/2021 17:18

Unfortunately they are the Freedom ones. See, that weird unexpected bleed 2 weeks after my period started in July has really thrown everything off. If it was another period starting (extremely early) then technically I wouldn't be 10 days late, I would be due to come on next week, if that makes any sense 🙈 I fucking hate this ttc shit. Wish it would just happen already.

I've couldn't resist taking another tesco one. I may be wrong but is there a faint line with colour??

I would expect a pregnancy test to be a lot darker than that if you were 10 days late your body does funny things when TTC. I had a funny bleed that was earlier and heavier than usual. Then had a much shorter cycle than usual then got a BFP (who is now 4 months old lying in my arms as I type this with one hand). Also I’ve never had a sniff of a line when not pregnant and you have very clear lines.

DueyCheatemAndHow · 28/08/2021 21:14

That tesco one looks positive to me!!!

AntiHop · 28/08/2021 21:15

That Tesco one looks positive to me!

ikeepseeingit · 28/08/2021 21:17

I can see the Tesco one for sure! X

justcheckingwithya · 28/08/2021 22:11

OK, I just did another tesco one 🙈 because although you're all telling me they're positives... After 4 years of ttc I just don't quite believe it yet 😂

Top one is the one i took earlier, bottom is the one I just took.

Also, my DH said he can't see anything on any of the tests, including the pink ones Hmm

Have you had your Covid vaccination recently? Many women reporting changes to their cycle afterwards.

justcheckingwithya · 29/08/2021 00:07

Yes, I had my second dose about a month ago.

OK, so I nipped to tesco and bought some CB🙈. The digital said not pregnant, and this 'line' seemed to appear relatively quickly when I did the test. DH said he can't see anything on the CB either. I honestly think I'm losing my mind 🤦‍♀️I have never seen anything before on a CB, not even a whiff of a faint line, so I did get a bit excited. However, the digital saying not pregnant doesn't make for a good sign 😕

I think i remember reading that the digital ones are not that sensitive; but I see a faint line on the last pic of the CB

CasaBonita · 29/08/2021 00:25

The ones with the crosses can be notoriously unreliable. I did two that came up with darker crosses than what you have above. However I was definitely not pregnant.

The digital ones have always worked for me. Based on all of those I'd say definitely negative, I'm sorry

TheChosenTwo · 29/08/2021 00:26

I can’t see anything on the tescos ones but I literally have no idea where I’m looking on those tests that you posted first Confused
I’ve seen people posting and asking showing these ones before and some people say yes and some say no but I don’t know where to look for a line! I’ve never seen those tests before, I’m only familiar with the ones with the clear windows and to look for a cross!

TheChosenTwo · 29/08/2021 00:28

But I think I see a faint line in the clear blue one, I know what I’m looking for there!
I hope you get a properly clear positive soon Flowers

CurlyhairedAssassin · 29/08/2021 00:32

I couldn’t see anything on the first few pics but the 3 at 00.13 I could see a faint line on all 3. Don’t test again for another 2 days and next time will be more defined if you’re pregnant.

GetDownWithTheCygent · 29/08/2021 00:48

Get a first response test. They pick up most pregnancies. Good luck

LividLaVidaLoca · 29/08/2021 00:55

You need to stop with the crappy tests and do a FRER.

It seems that your three days bleed must have been a period, because the alternative with such faint lines at potentially ten days late is a chemical.

You need to find out what’s happening so get three or four FRERs and look for line progression.

Step away from the digitals, they aren’t going to show with such early lines.

Good luck, OP.

Ifyouarehappyandyouknowit21 · 29/08/2021 03:23

The digital is pretty sensitive so if that was negative then you're not pregnant. I'm so sorry. It looks like a chemical pregnancy. If it is, you'll be more fertile for the next cycle. 🤞

OnSilverStars · 29/08/2021 03:51

Get a first response pink dye one and save yourself the agony! I'd say you're pregnant though
