We're just about to set off, so should get there at 2ish, and will be leaving at lunchtime on Tuesday. Kids don't want to try SUP or surfing.
We're staying near Alum Chine.

A few hours exploring Brownsea Island is lovely, especially as you have to get there by ferry.

IIRC the aquarium is good (haven't been for several years), and about 15 mins walk away along the beach is the Russell Coates house. A truly bonkers ostentatious display of Victorian nouveau riche. Everyone will find something they like there.

So much to do
Poole Park....Great Lakes to walk around ....play areas...paddle boats ....
Alum chine beach has a play area behind it too....lovely section of beach
Bournemouth Gardens....crazy golf amusements near the pier
Wander into Westbourne ...nice cafes etc ...chez Fred for fish n chips

You can walk all the way along the front to Poole, ice cream vendors along the way. The aquarium is lovely for a rainy afternoon, I think they have a cafe there. There was a land train you can catch that takes you all the way along to Bournemouth and I think it goes to Boscombe and then back to Alum Chine in a loop. That takes about an hour?
