Can I get London theatre tickets for tonight or tomorrow? Where?

Asking for a friend, pls share your collective knowledge!

Friend in London with partner today (Sat) and tomorrow. Mentioned "it's too late to book anything".

Is it? How / where do you do that? Not from London, we're all from the northern sticks!

Where have you tried? Because I just went on the official booking website for The Mousetrap, as an example, and there are tickets available for tonight!

And then I went on the official booking website for Pretty Woman - also tickets available!

Have you actually looked for any yet?!

Does your friend not have the internet, perhaps?

There used to be a booth in Leicester Square selling same day tickets but since Covid they are online only. First thing that comes job is you Google same day London theatre tickets..

Try TodayTix. Lots available at the mo as it is still the summer holidays + some people still a bit nervous about theatre I think.

I haven’t used this site but have seen it recommended. Don’t know if the physical last-minute ticket booth in Leicester Square is still a thing in covid times...

There's a site called TodayTix that has last-minute theatre seats. I've got the app and I have actually booked seats through it, though not for shows that day. However, I've just looked and they say they do have seats for tonight. Various things - from Hairspray to Twelfth Night at the Globe.

Worth a look, anyway?

Cross-posted with everyone, but I get it OP. If you don't live in London it can seem a bit impenetrable. I can recommend TodayTix, though.

WimpoleHat · 28/08/2021 09:31

What do you want to see? First step is the website of whatever it is - or call the box office. A lot of theatres have more relaxed return policies because of Covid, so even “sold out” shows may have last minute seats. But lots of things aren’t sold out! Some people are nervous of Covid, no tourists etc.

What sort of thing do you like?

Bati · 28/08/2021 09:35

I am currently in London and booked 4 tickets late last night for today. There was plenty to choose from x

Quartz2208 · 28/08/2021 09:36

Yep Todaytix is really good all of them there and at brilliant prices

New2ctc · 28/08/2021 10:09

Thank you everyone who helped and wasn't sarcastic - booked for tonight!

I should feel rebuked by this but I just can’t - even in the north, you have the power of Google at your fingertips.
