What do girls wear to soft play parties?

Practical but a bit posher than the usual?

I'm clueless, we haven't been to any kind of party in two years! She's not a baby any more and she's a big fuss pot, hates anything itchy (so no sparkles).

Just normal clothes, anything she can move around in unrestricted. Nobody dresses up for kids parties any more, especially not at soft play!

Don’t overthink it, just leggings and a t shirt. No one is wearing anything posh at a soft play party.

Leggings and a nice top? Can’t imagine a toddler soft play party will be too dressy!

I’d just put her in leggings and a t-shirt

SirSamuelVimes · 28/08/2021 08:26

Leggings and a nice top!

Leggings and a top?

Findahouse21 · 28/08/2021 08:27

Dd is a fan of dungaree shorts and tights with a t-shirt underneath or a dress with leggings (not a party dress per se, but a more everyday 1).

Bancha · 28/08/2021 08:27

For soft play it wouldn’t occur to me to dress her in anything other than normal practical clothes. Leggings, t shirt, socks, done.

BakewellGin1 · 28/08/2021 08:28

Leggings and a top... Something easy to run and Climb in

MyFloorIsLava · 28/08/2021 08:29

There used to be the odd girl in a ridiculous frilly number in soft play, completely unable to climb properly and leaving half of the backs of their legs on the slide.

HelloDulling · 28/08/2021 08:29

Jersey dress and leggings. You need legs covered for all the sliding.

👍🏻 Thank you all!

Leggings and t-shirt is fine.
My DD (5) would insist upon a dress for a party but if it was soft play, outdoors, etc I'd make it a casual jersey dress with leggings.

Ihaveaquestion77 · 28/08/2021 08:30

I think normal soft play clothes would be fine, but if you want something more "fancy" than leggings but still practical you could go for a skort (shorts with skirt attached)? My DD is actually off to a soft play party today and that's what she is wearing!

liveforsummer · 28/08/2021 08:32

Nothing longer than thigh length as it gets trapped under their knees when crawling

KeyWorker · 28/08/2021 17:52

Shorts generally no good at soft play, their legs catch on the slide. Leggings and a (thin long sleeve) tee best.

Rockbird · 28/08/2021 17:55

Leggings and T shirt is fine. However, I have seen plenty of girls at parties who wear party dresses and they're fine. Wear whatever she wants.
