Quick onset 'womb pain, hurts when I walk

Just after opinions really. If I don't reply properly, apologies but I didn't get much sleep last night.

Since yesterday I've had what feels like a bloated sore, dragging and painful womb, it hurts when I walk and I barely slept last night.

I've seen a doctor today who tested for a UTI and checked I wasn't pregnant with an ectopic. I've had one before and the pain is similar but as I'm past ttc and DH has had the snip, I didn't think it would be that but did wonder as the pain is so similar if it could be ovary/fallopian tube related.

Anyway, doc seems to think it could be a few things and has sent my sample off to the lab. She also prescribed me a laxative as she thinks it might be constipation. I really, really know its not, I've had IBS for about 25 years, so I know. I've taken a sachet with no 'results' or difference.

There's a history of both fibroids and ovarian cancer in my family, I mentioned the latter, so I was a bit suprised that I wasn't offered a scan, even in future. She said to call 111 or go to A&E if it gets worse.

The pain is not going away and I'm worried it's going to get worse. If you were me would you call 111 over the weekend or just wait until next week and hope its nothing serious?

Is it not your cervix, that hurts like a twat.

Personally I'd go to the gum clinic for a screen. It's their area and they're very good. Quickest referral for a scan I've ever had in my life.

No don't think so, I completely forgot to say they asked me to go for a smear this afternoon, which I did and it wasn't any more uncomfortable. Is GUM for sexual health only though?

Doesn't sexual health just mean the health of your sex organs? Like you'd still go to a podiatrist for your feet, even if you were in a wheelchair and couldn't walk

Sorry to be no practical help OP, personally I'd not do anything unless my symptoms worsened because quite often infections etc resolve on their own

gamerchick · 27/08/2021 18:36

This is your sexual health though. This is their area and they're a lot quicker than a GP.

Good point. Think nearest clinic is quite far from me.

Is it possible you are ovulating?

ElsaMars · 27/08/2021 19:06

Pain is too much for that I think, I do get the odd ovulation pain sometimes. Just feels scarily similar to my ectopic, which makes me nervous!
