Hello lovely lot !
I don’t know about you but just like chocolate bars, food appears to be becoming more expensive for smaller volumes. I was shocked most recently at how my Morrison’s bag of fish has shrunk (which shrunk even more in the oven, x4 pieces of fish!)! To just about enough for two adults at lunch! Let alone a family tea. But the price has crept up.
This has got me thinking, that maybe it would be nice to share different places to shop where you can get the best volumes for what and for the best price. We try our best to shop around/stock and freeze up.
There’s also the balancing act of paying less but still wanting the produce to taste good!
Morrisons: Meat counter quite good, especially off cuts
Sainsbury’s: Pizzas have been great for taste and quality, good selection and quality/quantities for baking
Aldi: Had good success for fruit and veg
Iceland: Coffee !
Please add if you can share your shopping secrets.
Every little helps!!!
