If you moved from Scotland to England

If you decided to move from Scotland to England, what were your reasons and how did it work out?

We moved to Reading with my husbands job.
Positives - loads to do with teens
London close by, visited often

Cons - lack of open space, countryside.

Ultimately ended up hating it and moved back to Scotland after 2 years.

My partner moved from England to Scotland to be with me. He prefers it although all his friends and family are still in England and he goes back a few times a year.

I think depending on the reason it can be hit or miss. It takes a lot of adapting and I’m sure any place has its pros and cons but overall I think he prefers Scotland. The scenery, the views, the greenery etc is all quite appealing to him too.
